Who we do it for
Properties traveler agents can find but cannot reliably book through an agent.
Spann is built for properties whose booking truth lives in exceptions, preferences, soft rules, and reputation. Traveler agents can find the stay. They still need verified property truth before they can book with confidence.
The shared trait
Three signals a property needs Spann.
Booking depends on judgment
Occasion, mobility, specification, mood, preference. The reply depends on more than the dates and the dollars.
The property owns the outcome
Their reputation, their customer, their commitment. Software cannot decide on their behalf without consequence.
Agents can find the surface
Public pages, listings, and forms are visible. The hard part is giving traveler agents verified answers and a booking path that preserves property judgment instead of flattening it.
The pattern
The company starts with one beachhead before claiming the category.
The reusable pattern is clear: traveler agents can discover a business before they can safely book, reserve, or commit. The public proof is narrower. Spann is proving booking-readiness first in Japan lodging before making stronger claims about other verticals.
Current beachhead: Japan lodging
Ryokan, boutique hotels, onsen stays, mountain huts, and Japan hospitality properties carry occasion, dietary, language, mobility, room, and acceptance nuance that does not fit a generic booking form.
Potential later pattern: scheduled services
Clinics, salons, studios, and practitioners can carry practitioner fit and timing nuance. Spann does not claim this as a proven vertical yet.
Potential later pattern: fine dining
Reservations can carry occasion, dietary, allergy, table, and off-menu nuance. This remains a candidate pattern, not current public proof.
Potential later pattern: artisan supply
Custom orders can carry spec, material, lead time, and acceptance criteria the maker decides. Vertical portability waits for proof beyond the lodging beachhead.
Active vertical
Japan lodging is the first proving ground.
Japan lodging is where Spann is proving the booking-readiness thesis first. The work is concrete: make the property readable, answerable, and bookable by traveler agents while preserving the property's authority over fit, exceptions, and acceptance. The case for hospitality is broken out separately so a lodging operator can read it on their own terms.
Who Spann is not for
Audience clarity.
Spann is not the right layer for mass-market e-commerce, pure SaaS, or businesses whose booking or purchase path is already structured and high-volume. Those operations either already have agent surfaces or do not carry the kind of property judgment Spann preserves.
If your inbound fits a form field and your outcome is the form submission, an agent can already use you. You do not need Spann.
